The Chenna Dasar of India, numbering approximately 66,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Vaishnava mendicants in Dharwad and Belagavi districts, Karnataka, dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara of Tirupati. Their name recalls danda, the palanquin pole symbolizing their mendicancy. They are an Indigenous people in the Kanarese people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kannada and their primary religion is Hinduism.
