The Prabhu Patane of India, numbering approximately 72,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are described as one of the original Kshatriya settler communities of Mumbai Island, having migrated from Saurashtra in the thirteenth century. Service and business remain their main occupations, historically as rent-receivers and revenue officials They are an Indigenous people, with Pathare Prabhu as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Gujarati.
