They are an ethnolinguistic community of India and can also be known as Kurichchan, Kurichcha Gounder, Kurichchan, Kunjidigar, Kuriciyan, Alambadi Kurichchan, Kurichchian, Kurichechan, Kunjigar. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism - Folk. They primarily speak Malayalam.
