The Bhulia of India

The Bhulia of India, numbering approximately 181,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are described as a Hindu weaver community of Kalahandi and western Odisha, ranked above other weaving castes and bearing the honorable title Meher. They traditionally weave and dye saris on their own looms and worship Lakshmi and Vishwakarma as family deities They are an Indigenous people, with Bhuliya as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Odia people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Odia.
