The Kattunaickan of India

The Kattunaickan of India, numbering approximately 82,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe of the Wayanad hills in Kerala and neighboring Tamil Nadu, also called Jenu Kuruba, whose name means forest headman. Once hunter-gatherers, most now depend on agricultural labor. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Kurumba, Jennu and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
