The Kuki of India

The Kuki of India, numbering approximately 179,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a tribal community of northeastern India, particularly in Manipur, Assam, and Nagaland. They speak the Kuki language (also known as Thado Chin) and traditionally practice shifting cultivation. There are sizeable numbers of Christian and Hindu adherents They are an Indigenous people, with Kuki as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Chin, Thado.
