The Kuki of India

The Kuki of India, numbering approximately 179,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a tribal community of northeastern India, particularly in Manipur, Assam, and Nagaland. They speak the Kuki language (also known as Thado Chin) and traditionally practice shifting cultivation. There are sizeable numbers of Christian and Hindu adherents. They are an Indigenous people, in the Kuki-Chin (Zo) people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Chin, Thado.
