The Gachha of India

The Gachha of India, numbering approximately 37,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Madhya Pradesh community of Jhabua district also known as Basor, traditionally basket-makers who took up sweeping and scavenging generations ago after an epidemic decimated the local Bhangi community. They are an Indigenous people in the Hindi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
