The Ezhuthachan of India

The Ezhuthachan of India, numbering approximately 51,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Kerala and Tamil Nadu community also known as Kadupattan, said to descend from Brahman of Kadur banished for favoring Buddhism and given refuge by the Zamorin of Calicut, whose name means one who teaches. They are an Indigenous people in the Malayali people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Malayalam and their primary religion is Hinduism.
