The Riang of India

The Riang of India, numbering approximately 244,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a tribal community of Mizoram, Tripura, and Assam also known as Tuikuk in Mizoram. The Riang are organized into two major clans each with six subclans, practicing slash-and-burn agriculture They are an Indigenous people, with Riang / Bru as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Hinduism. They primarily speak Riang.
