The Senva of India

The Senva of India, numbering approximately 163,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a Scheduled Caste of Surendranagar district, Gujarat, claiming Rajput descent, traditionally makers of mats and ropes who also remove and skin animal carcasses. Landless labor remains their main occupation They are an Indigenous people, with Senva as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Gujarati people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. They mostly adhere to Folk Hinduism and Gujarati is their primary language.
