The Samanthan of India

The Samanthan of India, numbering approximately 30,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Malayalam-speaking community of Kozhikode, Kannur, and other districts in Kerala descended from the former Rajas and chieftains of Malabar. Settled cultivation and business now supplement their earlier landowning status. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Malayalam is their primary language.
