The Sema Naga of India

The Sema Naga of India, numbering approximately 371,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are described as a dominant Naga group of Zunheboto in Nagaland who call themselves Semi after their ancestor Sumi. Slash-and-burn cultivation remains primary, supplemented by weaving and smithy, and many have embraced Christianity They are an Indigenous people, with Naga as their ethnic/kinship group and are in the Tangsa Naga people cluster of the South Asian Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism. They primarily speak Naga, Sumi.
