The Mahli of India, numbering approximately 555,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an occupational caste of barbers from Maharashtra who speak Marathi and practice Hinduism, with traditional hair-dressing occupation and subgroups including Gujarati, Marawadi, and Telugu communities. They are an Indigenous people, in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Marathi.
