The Thandan of India

The Thandan of India, numbering approximately 289,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Caste of Alappuzha, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram districts, Kerala, organized into matrilineal clans, traditionally coconut-tree climbers. This work continues alongside farm labor. They mostly adhere to Hinduism and Malayalam is their primary language.
