The Rangrez of India

The Rangrez of India, numbering approximately 565,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a dyeing community found across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh. Their name is Persian for dyer. Dyeing and printing remain traditional occupations. They are an Indigenous people in the Marathi-Konkani people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Urdu and their primary religion is Hinduism.
