The Gamit of India

The Gamit of India, numbering approximately 658,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe migrant from Goa now settled in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan under names including Gamta, Gavit, and Vasava, traditionally agriculturists who in Rajasthan work as contract labor for other communities. They mostly adhere to Folk Hinduism and Gamit is their primary language.
