The Garo of India

The Garo of India, numbering approximately 1,060,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an indigenous community of Tibeto-Burmese in Northeast India and Bangladesh and can also be known as Ghara, Garoo. They are an Indigenous people, in the Garo-Tripuri people cluster of the Tibetan / Himalayan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Garo.
