The Bhumija of India, numbering approximately 1,145,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a community of India, distributed over the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Tripura and can also be known as Bhumija, Bhumij Desua, Desua Bhumij. They are an Indigenous people, in the Munda-Santal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism - Folk. They primarily speak Mundari.
