The Boro of India

The Boro of India, numbering approximately 1,560,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Scheduled Tribe considered among the earliest inhabitants of the Brahmaputra valley in Assam, encompassing cognate groups such as the Bodo, Dimasa, and Rabha. Traditionally shifting cultivators, they are now largely settled farmers. They are an Indigenous people in the Tibetan people cluster of the Tibetan Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Boro (India) and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
