The Naga of India

The Naga of India, numbering approximately 414,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are another dominant Naga group of Nagaland whose name recalls ancestors crossing the Dikhu river, tracing origin to the legendary site of Lungterok. Shifting and settled cultivation remain primary, and many now follow Christianity. They are an Indigenous people in the Tangsa Naga people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Naga, Ao and their primary religion is Ethnoreligion.
