The Nadar of India

The Nadar of India, numbering approximately 6,410,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tamil-speaking community of southern India that transformed from a historically marginalized palm-cultivating and toddy-tapping population into one of the most economically successful and socially influential communities in Tamil Nadu. They are an Indigenous people in the Tamil people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tamil and their primary religion is Hinduism.
