The Meena of India

The Meena of India, numbering approximately 5,715,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a tribal community of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Haryana who speak Braj Bhasha among themselves and Marwari with others, practice agriculture and animal husbandry, and trace their descent from Minavastar, the fish incarnation of Lord Vishnu. They are an Indigenous people in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Marwari (India) and their primary religion is Folk Hinduism.
