They are a Punjabi–Sindhi mercantile caste of northern India, originally from the ancient city of Aror, historically engaged in trade and business, and closely related to the Khatri community. They are also known as Rora. They are an Indigenous people in the Punjabi people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Hindi and their primary religion is Hinduism.
