The Kuruba of India, numbering approximately 4,995,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a large community of shepherds, also known as Halumata, in Karnataka, India. They are an Indigenous people, in the South Asian Tribal people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism. They primarily speak Kannada.
