The Barhai of India

The Barhai of India, numbering approximately 3,700,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an occupational community of India, the Badhai derive their name from the Sanskrit word vardhna or vardhika, meaning cutting and can also be known as Dhiman, Dagesar Dhawal, Chauvasia, Badhai, Dagesar, Dadoi, Baiwal, Dhawal, Atwasa, Bimrao. They are an Indigenous people, in the Badhai people cluster of the South Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Hinduism - Folk. They primarily speak Hindi.
