The Ocotlan Zapotec of Mexico, numbering approximately 17,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguisic subgroup of the Zapotec, an ethnic group indigenous to the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and can also be known as Zapoteco del Poniente del Ocotlán, Zapoteco del Poniente de Ocotlan, Ocotlán Oeste Zapotec, Ocotlán Oeste Zapotec, Zapoteco de Ocotlan, Ocotlann Oeste Zapoteco, Zapoteco del Poniente de Ocotlán, Ocotlán Oeste Zapotec; Zapoteco del Poniente de Ocotlán. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
