The Southeastern Ixtlan Zapotec of Mexico, numbering approximately 2,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguisic subgroup of the Zapotec, an ethnic group indigenous to the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and can also be known as Zapoteco del Surested de Ixtlan, Yavesía Zapotec, Latuvi Zapotec, Zapoteco del Sureste de Ixtlán, Latuvi Zapotec; Yavesía Zapotec; Zapoteco del Sureste de Ixtlán, Latuvi Zapotec. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
