The Ixtlan Zapotec of Mexico, numbering approximately 6,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguisic subgroup of the Zapotec, an ethnic group indigenous to the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and can also be known as Sierra de Juárez, Zapoteco de Teococuilco de Marcos Pérez, Ixtlán Zapoteco, Ixtlán Sierra Zapotec, Zapoteco de Santa Ana Yareni, Western Ixtlán Zapotec, Zapoteco de Atepec, Zapoteco Serrano, Etla Zapotec, Ixtlan Zapoteco, Atepec Zapotec, Sierra de Juarez Zapoteco. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
