The Aloapam Zapotec of Mexico, numbering approximately 2,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguisic subgroup of the Zapotec, an ethnic group indigenous to the state of Oaxaca, Mexico and can also be known as Zapotec, Zapoteco, Zapoteco de Aloápam, Matatlan, Alopan, Zapoteco de San Miguel Aloápam, South Matatlan, Zapoteco de Aloápam, Aloapan Matatlan. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Zapotec, Aloápam.
