The Northwest Oaxaca Mixtec of Mexico

The Northwest Oaxaca Mixtec of Mexico, numbering approximately 8,300 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an ethno-linguistic subgroup of the Mixtec, an indigenous Mesoamerican people of Mexico and can also be known as Mixteco del Noroeste de Oaxaca, Mixteco de Yucuná; Mixteco del Noroeste de Oaxaca, Northwest Oaxaca Mixtec, Mixteco de Yucuná, Huajuapan Mixtec, Cacaloxtepec. They are an Indigenous people, in the Mixtec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Mixtec, Northwest Oaxaca.
