The Chayuco Mixtec of Mexico

The Chayuco Mixtec of Mexico, numbering approximately 14,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethno-linguistic subgroup of the Mixtec, an indigenous Mesoamerican people of Mexico and can also be known as Mixteco de Chayuco, Eastern Jamiltepec-Chayuco Mixtec, Mixteco de Chayucu, Eastern Jamiltepec-Chayuco Mixtec; Mixteco de Chayucu, Eastern Jamiltepec-Chayuco Mixtec. They are an Indigenous people, in the Mixtec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Mixtec, Chayuco.
