The San Francisco del Mar Huave of Mexico, numbering approximately 1,200 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a distinct Indigenous subgroup of the Huave people, living on the Pacific coast of Oaxaca, Mexico, in and around the municipality of San Francisco del Mar, along the lagoon-and-barrier-island system of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec. They are also known as Mero Kunajts, Mero Ikoot, Kunajits. They are an Indigenous people in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Spanish and their primary religion is Folk Catholicism.
