They are an indigenous community of Mexico; a dialect subgroup of Western Highland Chatino (ctp) and can also be known as Yaitepec Chatino; dialect of Chatino, Yaitepec Chatino, dialect of Chatino, Yaitepec, Juquila, Western Highland. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Chatino, Western Highland.
