The Central Chatino of Mexico, numbering approximately 26,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Chatino, a family of indigenous Mesoamerican languages classified under the Zapotecan branch of the Oto-Manguean language family and can also be known as Sierra Occidental, Chatino de San Marcos Zacatepec, Cha't-An, Cha’t-An, Chatino, Chatino de la Zona Alta Occidental, Sierra Occidental Chatino. They are an Indigenous people, in the Zapotec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
