The Huichol of Mexico

The Huichol of Mexico, numbering approximately 84,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Amerindian ethnic group indigenous to the Sierra Madre mountains in the Mexican states of Nayarit, Jalisco, Zacatecas, and Durango and can also be known as Vixaritari Vaniuqui, Vixaritari Vaniuqui; Vizaritari Vaniuki, Vizaritari Vaniuki, Vixaritari Vaniuqui, Vizaritari Vaniuki. They are an Indigenous people, in the Aztec people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Christianity - Folk Catholicism. They primarily speak Spanish.
