The Red Thai of Laos

The Red Thai of Laos, numbering approximately 47,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Tai people whose ancestors migrated southeast down Vietnam's Red and Black River valleys rather than the Mekong route taken by other Tai groups, originating in Thanh Hoa's Meuang Daeng district before emigrating to Laos one to two centuries ago. They mostly adhere to Animism and Tai Daeng is their primary language.

Pray specifically for the Red Thai of Laos

Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.
readMark 10:15

Pray for those who might be trapped in pride, that God will humble them and give them a childlike faith and complete dependence on Him through faith in Christ.

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left.
readIsaiah 30:21

As the lost in this people group seek to know the truth of who God is, pray that the Spirit of God will draw them to Himself and guide them in the way they should go.

And many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.
readZechariah 2:11

Pray that as people place their faith in Christ, they will have a heart that longs to see all people from all parts of the world worshiping Jesus as He deserves.

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
readRomans 10:15

Pray that God will call many believers who will obediently go and share the gospel with those who desperately need it.
