They are a matrilineal clan indigenous to the mountains of the Talamanca region of Costa Rica and the Bocas del Toro province of Panama They are an Diaspora people, in the Central American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Bribri.
