The Chorti of Honduras

The Chorti of Honduras, numbering approximately 7,800 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Maya people likely descended directly from ancient Copan's ruling civilization, founded in 426 CE, whose language survives as a form of Classic Maya even after Spanish colonial forced labor and epidemics devastated their population.
