They are a Northeast Caucasus ethnic group indigenous to the Dagestani Repuglic of Russia and can also be known as Kazikumukhtsy, Kumux, Laki, Laki. They are an Indigenous people, in the Caucasus people cluster of the Eurasian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Islam - Sunni. They primarily speak Lak.
