The Tatar of Uzbekistan, numbering approximately 863,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Turkic ethnic group indigenous to the Tatarstan region of Russia and Ukraine. They are also known as Татарлар, Tatarlar. They are an Diaspora people in the Ural-Siberian people cluster of the Turkic Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Tatar and their primary religion is Sunni Islam.
