The Pass Valley Yaly of Indonesia, numbering approximately 8,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Yali highland people of Yahukimo Regency whose name means people from where the sun rises, first reached by outside missionaries only in the 1960s and 1970s, an encounter that ended long-standing intervillage feuds and ancestral warfare traditions. They mostly adhere to Protestantism and Pass Valley Yali is their primary language.
