The Khmer of Laos, numbering approximately 5,800 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Austroasiatic ethnic group indigenous to Cambodia and can also be known as Lao Theung (Upland). They are an Diaspora people, in the Mon-Khmer people cluster of the Southeast Asian Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Buddhism - Theravada. They primarily speak Khmer.
