The Lower Murut of Malaysia, numbering approximately 3,400 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a language variety subgroup of the Timugon Murut, an Austronesian indigenous group inhabiting the interior regions of northern Borneo. They are also known as Bukau. They are an Indigenous people in the Borneo-Kalimantan people cluster of the Malay Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Murut, Timugon and their primary religion is Animism.
