The East Futunans of Wallis and Futuna

The East Futunans of Wallis and Futuna, numbering approximately 3,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Polynesian people indigenous to Futuna Island and nearby Alofi Island in the French overseas collectivity of Wallis and Futuna in the South Pacific. They are distinct from the West Futunans of Vanuatu, despite the similarity in names. They are an Indigenous people in the Polynesian people cluster of the Pacific Islander Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary language is Futuna, East and their primary religion is Roman Catholicism.
