The Secoya of Ecuador

The Secoya of Ecuador, numbering approximately 800 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Amazonian people calling themselves Siekopai, whose territory once spanned seven million acres between the Putumayo and Napo rivers before rubber-era slavery, evangelization, and the 1941 Ecuador-Peru war fragmented their communities. They mostly adhere to Animism and Secoya is their primary language.
