They are an ethnolinguistic community of Brazil and can also be known as Mura-Piraha, Piraha, Pirahã, Mura Pirahã. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Pirahã.
