They are a South American indigenous people living in the borderlands of southern Guyana, northern Brazil in the state of Roraima, and the eastern part of Venezuela. They are an Indigenous people, in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Animism. They primarily speak Macushi.
