They are a Ge-speaking tribe of Amerindians who once lived in a huge expanse of territory in southern Para and northern Mato Grosso, Brazil. They are an Indigenous people, in the South American Indigenous people cluster of the Latin American and Caribbean Peoples affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion. They primarily speak Kayapó.
