They are an indigenous community of Brazil; a dialect subgroup of Jamamadí (jaa) and can also be known as Jaruara, Yarawara, Jarawara, Jarauara. They are an Indigenous people, in the Amazon people cluster of the Latin-Caribbean Americans affinity bloc. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion - Animism. They primarily speak Jamamadí.
